News archives November 2000 Hallmark MD leads PR Explosion! tour The first nation-wide tour to promote public relations consultancy has been led by Hallmark PR's managing director Dr Tom Watson in his role as chairman of the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA). The PR EXPLOSION! roadshow visited Leeds, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh during November and December with a final stop for Cardiff planned for late January. "The PRCA is taking the message to major cities that high quality consultancy services are on offer around the whole UK," said Tom. "PR consultancy is the fastest growing marketing services sector and there has been, quite literally, an explosion of business matched by a rapidly expanding pool of trained talent." The roadshow has attracted strong audiences from business and government at every stop in the tour. PRCA had handled more than 600 enquiries from businesses seeking consultancy support in the first 10 months of 2000 and is expecting a further 50% growth in 2001.
