"Destination Unmissable" Gunwharf Quays appoints Hallmark PR

Hallmark Public Relations in Winchester has been appointed to spread the word about 'destination unmissable' Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth, following a competitive three-way pitch.

Gunwharf Quays, top retail and leisure attraction on Portsmouth Harbour, aims to build on its success having exceeded target numbers in its first year, with over 5.2 million visitors.

Hallmark PR will work closely with the centre's marketing team to attract more visitors within a 60-minute drive time.

Deborah Owen-Ellis Clark marketing director at Gunwharf Quays said: "We are looking forward to working with Hallmark to build on the success of our first year, with more strategic PR to our core catchment area. We felt the ethos of Hallmark fitted well with the unique offer at Gunwharf Quays."

Fiona Peters, Hallmark senior account manager, said the team are really looking forward to shouting about what's on offer: "It'll be great to promote - exclusive designer bargains, excellent restaurants and bars at Gunwharf Quay's spectacular waterfront setting. There's also a really varied event programme which has already begun with virtual-reality cricket."

Hallmark PR has built up experience in the leisure industry, promoting the launch of another Portsmouth Harbour attraction Explosion! Museum of Naval Firepower in Gosport and supporting the grand opening of Rank Leisure's £27 million attraction Leisure World in Southampton.
